Application Instructions
- 1. Clean and dry the repair area thoroughly.
- 2. Melt Pure Asphalt Mastic PL in an oil-jacket kettle with agitation.
- 3. Pour slightly proud of the surface, then lute level.
- 4. Allow to cool to a safe temperature before opening to traffic.
- 5. Sealcoat later when surface temperature meets your coating specification.

Mastic PL is a hot-applied, polymer-modified asphalt mastic crack filler pre-loaded with aggregate. It fills and supports wide cracks, fatigue areas, trench edges, and transitions that typical crack sealer cannot handle.
Use indirect heat only. A double-boiler or hot-oil jacketed kettle with constant agitation keeps aggregate suspended and heats the blend evenly.
Recommended application temperature is about 380 °F, and the maximum heating temperature is 400 °F. Do not exceed the maximum.
Yes. Stay within the same temperature limits. Only melt what you plan to use and purge lines at the end of the shift.
Each box contains one 40 lb unit. A half pallet is 28 boxes. A full pallet is 56 boxes. The bulk option is 224 boxes total.
The repair area must be clean and dry. Remove debris, dust, moisture, and loose stone. Clean with oil-free compressed air and heat as needed.
Apply using a pressure-feed wand system or a pour pot, depending on joint size and crew preference.
Open the area once the repair cools and sets firm. Sealcoat later following your sealer instructions, typically after the surface has cooled sufficiently.

Hot material can burn. Fumes may be present at application temperature. Use appropriate PPE, provide ventilation, and avoid inhalation of vapors. If hot material contacts skin or eyes, cool with water, do not pull off cooled residue, and follow first-aid best practices.
