As a residential home owner you want access to your driveway as soon as possible after sealing your driveway and our sealer makes this possible. Drying time is 3 to 4 hours.
As a sealcoating contractor you will have a MAJOR advantage over your competition when using AsphaltKingdom's Sealer.
Your competition's sealer takes approximately 24 to 48 hours to dry. Asphalt Kingdom's Sealer takes 3 to 4 hours to dry. When you're talking to potential customers you can let them know about this. It provides a major sales conversion edge for you.
A 55-gallon drum of sealer will do six to eight 4-car driveways. Its coverage rate is 100 square feet per gallon. TIP - Use our AK Drum Mixer to ensure your sealer is mixed and to eliminate downtime.
Sealer dries as water evaporates. If a heavy fog or rain roll in while sealer is setting, it will extend the drying time. Working on a mission-critical project such as the drive-through lane at a fast food restaurant? We recommend addng Quick-Cure Sealcoat Superdryer. This product helps to speed up the evaporation of water in sealer, making it possible to drive on the sealcoated area much sooner. As with all things, the higher the humidity and the lower the temperature, the longer sealer will take to dry in general.
Asphalt Kingdom ships in concentrate form to maximize benefits of shipping expenses. You can dilute the sealer up to 30% (recommended dilution is 20-30%) with water when using with a spray system. Dilute less when asphalt is in rough condition. Sealer must be agitated properly to ensure best results. Cut coverage in half if applying manually.

Sealer concentrate is diluted 20% so it is ready to spray as soon as you get it.
Unused material should be stored in an area that will remain at least 40°F (5°C). The largest sealer containers such as totes should be agitated at least once a week for 30 minutes when stored. Drums can be stored for longer periods without agitation provided a power mixer is available to stir the barrel prior to using. The solids in the sealer will begin to settle in the containers (clay and tar) the longer they are stored without mixing. However, as long as the product has not frozen it can be remixed although the longer it sits without mixing, the more difficult it will be to stir. Therefore, if you have a chance to mix in the off season, the better the sealer will be prepared to use in the spring.
When mixing before using, power agitation is suggested (a heavy duty drill and mixing paddle). It is often easier to stir in the drum and then pour the sealer into a empty drum to make sure all of the solids have been mixed back in.

Were driveway was dirty, sealer would not stick.. Used putty knife and pressure washer to remove. A lot of wasted time and sealer that was my fault. once it was very clean ,we redid it and it worked. we used broom's from dollar store, that worked the best. went on well, Easy to work with. Think it is a lot better product than what you buy at the big box stores. Some in five gallon buckets, Have sand, water, and coast is more. Glad i bought 55 gallon .Also easy clean up. we are taking the wait and see how it holds up// well let you know more next summer. will buy more if it holds up. One more thought, cover per square foot may very on some drive way's.
