Infrared heating systems are also a better option for softening bricks of asphalt than conventional asphalt recycler machines. Traditional machines typically expose asphalt directly to high heat. Unfortunately, this burns off the asphalt binder.
With a machine equipped with an infrared system, your asphalt is not exposed to direct heat.
The machine works by raising the temperature gradually until the desired temperature is reached. This helps recycled asphalt retain its binder until it's ready to be used to patch potholes.

Application Instructions
Tools Required:
- 40 lbs LPG propane tank
- Asphalt rake
- Hand tamper or plate compactor
- Safety gloves + eye protection
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- 1. Start by pre-heating the unit.
- 2. Load 2–3 inch clean asphalt chunks or pre-formed bricks onto the screen deck.
- 3. Let the material heat for 20–30 minutes until it becomes workable hot mix.
- 4. Shovel the hot mix directly into potholes or damaged spots.
- 5. Keep feeding material on top while pulling hot mix from the chamber below.
- 6. Compact the patched area to lock in a long-lasting repair.
